Our Story

73 years of making vermicelli with heart

Our story began around 1953"Mr. Ju Sae-Eng", a Chinese immigrant who settled in Thailand, founded "Tha Ruea Vermicelli Factory" in Tha Maka, Kanchanaburi, adopting the "Lion Brand" as its emblem · Later in 1985, the next generation of our family re-registered under a new commercial namethe factory remained at its original location, carrying on the recipes from our ancestors, evolving the brand into the "Lion Family with Cubs", a symbol of the next generation — becoming a signature souvenir of Kanchanaburi Province.

Later, when we discovered that Kamphaeng Phet Province and surrounding areas were an abundant source of high-quality mung beans, the family expanded with a second factory in 1989 at Khlong Khlung sub-district, Khlong Khlung, Kamphaeng Phet, naming it "Khlong Khlung Vermicelli Factory" after the Khlong Khlung sub-district as before — becoming a familiar souvenir stop for travellers heading north.

We believe good vermicelli starts with carefully selected mung beans — no other starches, no chemical bleaching, every pack tested for moisture content of ≤15% to give you vermicelli that's chewy, tender, and doesn't break easily.
